SAMG Entertainment Unveils New CI, Presents Vision to Become a Leading Global IP Content Company
Global IP content company SAMG Entertainment has unveiled a new corporate identity (CI) to mark its 25th anniversary and presented a new vision for expanding its global operations.
SAMG Entertainment announced that it has introduced a new CI that encapsulates the company’s future strategy and direction, based on 25 years of accumulated content production capabilities and achievements in the intellectual property (IP) business.
The company was founded in 2000 as "3G Animation." At the time, the company name embodied its core values of Global, Graphic, and Group. Since its early days, SAMG Entertainment has led the development of 3D animation in Korea's nascent animation industry.
In 2021, the company changed its name to "SAMG Entertainment" and expanded its business scope. Currently, leveraging its status as the largest 3D animation producer in Korea, SAMG Entertainment operates its own IP-driven content businesses in various fields including character licensing, products, digital content, and spatial ventures.
The company explained that it has revamped its corporate identity in response to rapid restructuring in the global content market around digital platforms, as well as the evolving trend of the IP business expanding beyond video content into products, retail, and experiential spaces.
Going forward, SAMG Entertainment plans to move away from the existing strategy of expanding business only after content success. Instead, it will focus on building direct connections with global consumers through products, retail, and fan experiences from the outset. The company envisions organically linking content, products, and digital experiences to grow a global IP ecosystem.
The newly released CI uses a font that conveys stability and flexible curves that express the company’s reliability and scalability. The ‘S’ symbol represents the flow in which IP created from a single story expands into characters, content, and diverse experiences. It embodies the company's ambition to be recognized worldwide as a truly global company.
The dot at the top right of the logo symbolizes Earth and the global market. It expresses the vision of connecting with the world through content and expanding into global markets.
Soohoon Kim, CEO of SAMG Entertainment, said, "The new CI marks a new beginning that reflects our upcoming business strategies and corporate direction. We will connect content, products, and digital experiences into a unified IP ecosystem, expanding various touchpoints tailored to each country’s market characteristics and further growing our global fandom."
Meanwhile, SAMG Entertainment is expanding its presence in the global market by leveraging its own IPs—such as "Catch! Teenieping," "The Teenieping," "Miniforce," "Metal Card Bot," and "Wishcat"—across content, licensing, products, retail, and spatial ventures. The company also plans to introduce new content and products through collaborations with global mega IPs and strengthen both online and offline customer experiences to further expand its global fandom.
