Greenda Secures 4.9 Billion Won Pre-Series A2 Investment for SAF Feedstock
Building an SAF Feedstock Value Chain
Greenda, a company specializing in feedstock for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), announced on July 21 that it has secured a Pre-Series A2 investment totaling 4.9 billion won.
In this funding round, all existing investors—Bluepoint Partners, GS Ventures, D3 Jubilee Partners, CNT Tech, and AI Angel Club—participated in follow-on investments. New investors include Lotte Ventures, BNK Venture Investment, and IBK Industrial Bank of Korea. As a result of this latest round, Greenda’s cumulative funding has reached 7.2 billion won.
Founded in 2022, Greenda has developed technology to recover oils from fried food residues generated at restaurants and food manufacturing plants and convert them into high-value biofuel feedstock. Rather than simply extracting oil, the company has established a comprehensive “SAF feedstock value chain” that covers everything from raw material collection and preprocessing to refining, quality control, and supply, thereby achieving both resource circulation and carbon reduction.
In the first half of this year alone, Greenda recorded sales of 8.9 billion won, representing approximately 1,000% growth compared to the same period last year. The company has established a stable feedstock supply network, working with approximately 2,500 business partners nationwide, and has obtained the international sustainability and carbon certifications ‘ISCC EU’ and ‘ISCC CORSIA,’ laying the groundwork for entry into the global SAF market.
This investment reaffirms Greenda’s strong growth trajectory in the climate tech market. Going forward, the company plans to further strengthen its supply capabilities in both domestic and international biofuel markets and to solidify a resource circulation ecosystem where the environment and industry can coexist.
