CJ Olive Young Introduces 'AI Assignment' in Experienced Developer Recruitment
Recruitment Process Upgraded from Coding Test to 'AI Assignment' to Assess 'AI Native' Skills
Hiring Developers in Three Categories Starting July 20
CJ Olive Young announced on July 21 that it will launch an open recruitment drive for experienced developers and introduce a new 'Artificial Intelligence (AI) assignment' as part of the screening process.
Until now, Olive Young has used a 'live coding' assessment—where candidates implement code in real time within a designated period—when recruiting for development roles. However, for this recruitment round focusing on finding AI talent, the new 'AI assignment' process will be introduced. This change is aimed at verifying AI capabilities more thoroughly, as 'AI natives,' who go beyond simple 'AI literacy' (understanding and using AI) to solving problems collaboratively with AI, are emerging as a key competitive strength.
For the 'AI assignment' process, Olive Young will utilize 'Kopa Probe,' a recruitment and evaluation solution developed by Krafton. In this evaluation, Olive Young plans to structure and conduct a multidimensional assessment of the entire process, including how candidates define problems, utilize AI and craft prompts, engage in iterative improvements, and validate results, along with the final output they submit.
Beyond this recruitment, Olive Young is also cooperating with Krafton to foster and identify AI talent by hosting the 'Krafton x Olive Young AI Hackathon' on July 30. Participants must solve AI assignments prepared by both Krafton and Olive Young within the given time frame and submit their results. For Olive Young’s assignment, participants will tackle real-world distribution challenges combining customer, product, and data elements. The total prize money for the AI Hackathon is 10 million won, and those who place in the Olive Young assignment will also receive benefits such as progressing directly past the document screening stage in this recruitment.
