This year, the Korean Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Tour agreed with the Korn Ferry Tour to grant Korn Ferry Tour entry to the top two players ranked within the top 15 in Genesis Points during the first half of the season. As a result, Minhyuk Song, ranked second, and Sanghoon Shin, ranked fifth in Genesis Points, received this benefit.
Ahead of his appearance on the Korn Ferry Tour, Minhyuk Song is focusing on physical training, putting, and short game practice. He stated, "My goal is to finish within the top 25 at the Pinnacle Bank Championship and qualify for the next tournament," adding, "I will play my best with no regrets."

The Korn Ferry Tour is considered one of the gateways to joining the PGA Tour. In 2025, Seungtaek Lee secured a PGA Tour card, which is awarded to the top 20 players in Korn Ferry Tour points, through the KPGA Tour's Genesis Point reward system. Seungtaek Lee is currently taking a break from PGA Tour events to focus on rehabilitation after suffering an ankle injury earlier this year.
