Honam University Professor Yang Doyul Launches Serialization of Webtoon "5th and 6th Floor Closed Space"

Honam University announced on July 20 that the webtoon '5th and 6th Floor Closed Space,' illustrated by Professor Yang Doyul from the Department of Comics and Animation, launched its second season on July 16.
'5th and 6th Floor Closed Space' is a collaborative creation, with Professor Yang Doyul responsible for the illustrations and his twin brother, writer Yang Jinyeol, handling the story and direction. Since its initial serialization in August 2024, the webtoon has been published simultaneously across major domestic platforms such as Naver Series, KakaoPage, Toomics Global, and Mr. Blue, as well as in seven countries including the United States, Japan, China, and France, steadily expanding its readership.
Centered around a protagonist who operates a private prison, this webtoon depicts the intersecting lives of various characters involved in the 'closed space,' a site for personal vengeance. In particular, Season 2 will delve more deeply into the background behind the creation of the private prison, examining modern Korean history from the 1980s to the 1990s, and fully exploring the protagonist’s quest for revenge.
Season 2 is available on leading platforms such as Naver Series, KakaoPage, Toomics Global, and Mr. Blue.
