This uptick is largely attributed to major semiconductor companies, including Samsung Electronics and SK hynix, ramping up their hiring activities.
JobKorea commented, "SK hynix garnered attention last month by announcing the elimination of academic background requirements as it conducted ad-hoc new graduate recruitment. Samsung Electronics is also actively seeking talent for 82 roles in its semiconductor division. As a result, expectations for both open recruitment and rolling recruitment in the industry are rising."
With an increase in industry job postings, job seekers’ interest in semiconductor-related positions is also on the rise. For instance, the number of SK hynix keyword searches on JobKorea surged by 180% year-on-year following its recent hiring campaign.
