Hanwha Partners with KDB and KODIT for Mutual Financial Support...Backing Facility Investments for Defense and Shipbuilding Partners
Facility Investment Loans for Partners of Four Defense and Shipbuilding Affiliates
On July 20, Hanwha announced that it had signed a 'Mutual Financial Support' Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Korea Development Bank and Korea Credit Guarantee Fund to support facility investments by defense and shipbuilding partner companies.
Under this agreement, four affiliates—Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Systems, Hanwha Ocean, and Hanwha Engine—will recommend partner companies to Korea Credit Guarantee Fund for contributions and support. Korea Credit Guarantee Fund will provide preferential guarantees, while Korea Development Bank will offer facility loans.
At the signing ceremony held at the Korea Development Bank headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, Kim Heecheol, CEO of Hanwha Ocean, said, "Hanwha will actively identify and recommend partner companies in need of facility investments. In addition, we will maintain close communication so that partner firms can fully utilize this system, ensuring its stable implementation in the field. We hope this agreement will generate tangible results for partners, participating companies, and policy finance institutions, and become a stepping stone for further advancement of Korea's defense and shipbuilding industries."
