Korea Securities Depository and the Korea Listed Companies Association jointly held an explanatory session on the introduction of the electronic shareholders' meeting system for executives and employees responsible for shareholders' meetings at listed companies.

View original imageAccording to Korea Securities Depository on the 20th, the session was held to help listed companies better understand the electronic shareholders' meeting system and platform, which will be implemented from next year due to revisions to the Commercial Act. On the 16th, representatives from 207 listed companies attended the event.
Korea Securities Depository provided guidance on overall practical matters, including the key functions of the electronic shareholders' meeting platform, how to use it, and prior preparations. The Korea Listed Companies Association explained the main revisions to the Commercial Act related to electronic shareholders' meetings and practical considerations so that listed companies can accurately understand and adapt to the new system. There were various questions regarding the interpretation of the electronic shareholders' meeting system, tallying of voting rights and calculation of shares present, and shareholder authentication. Participants shared their opinions mainly on issues anticipated in the actual work process.
