Everland to Launch "Midsummer Night’s Firefly Festival" on July 24
Fully Free Admission This Year, Starlight Campsite Theme
Nighttime Hours Extended Until 11 p.m.
Everland, operated by the resort division of Samsung C&T Corporation, announced on July 20 that it will hold the ecological experience program "Midsummer Night’s Firefly Festival" from July 24 to August 30 to celebrate the summer vacation season.
This festival is a large-scale ecological program where visitors can observe thousands of fireflies—an indicator species of a clean environment—up close. To provide more visitors with the opportunity to experience the event, Everland has switched the previously paid admission area to completely free entry this year. In addition, the experience area has been transformed into a "Starlight Campsite" setting to strengthen participatory festival elements.

In the indoor experience center, which is set up like a campsite, guests first learn about the life cycle of fireflies through explanations and visual materials presented by a caretaker, followed by observing the fireflies' glow in a completely darkened area. To enhance the overall viewing effect, music and narration are also provided.
An Everland official said, "We hope families will enjoy a healing time together, reflecting on the importance of nature conservation while observing fireflies up close in a romantic atmosphere reminiscent of a summer camping trip."
The experience takes place at the Lost Valley education center daily from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with each session lasting about 15 minutes. Any Everland guest can participate free of charge by waiting in line on a first-come, first-served basis on site.
