Hecto Financial Joins Global AI Payment Standard 'x402'
Hecto Financial has joined the ranks of the 'x402 Foundation,' an organization comprised of leading global digital finance and blockchain companies.
According to Hecto Financial on July 20, the x402 Foundation is an open-source project established to build a global payment standard for AI agent payments. x402 is a payment protocol designed to enable AI agents to conduct transactions and make payments with stablecoins without human intervention.
Hecto Financial's strategy is to establish a next-generation AI payment infrastructure, combining its existing traditional financial infrastructure, such as payment and settlement, with a global stablecoin payment network (CPN) and the AI payment standard (x402), so that AI agents can perform tasks ranging from purchasing goods to accessing services.
In June, Hecto Financial successfully completed proof-of-concept (PoC) testing for AI agent payment technology based on Google's AI agent payment protocol, 'AP2 (Agent Payments Protocol),' and plans to commercialize it in the third quarter. Building on this, the company aims to expand the scope to a 'universal cart' environment, where AI agents can select goods from various online shopping malls, add them to a single shopping cart, and complete payment in one process.
Following its official commercialization, Hecto Financial intends to provide its AI payment infrastructure to small business owners and small-scale sellers who find it difficult to adapt to the AI commerce environment on their own, thereby creating a system where anyone can easily adopt AI agent payments and broadening the foundation of the AI commerce market.
