The governments of the United States and Jordan reported that there were no fatalities but did not reveal the number or condition of those injured. The U.S. military uses Jordanian military bases as a key hub for operations in the Middle East.
In retaliation for a U.S. airstrike on Iranian territory, Iran has stepped up its drone and missile attacks targeting Middle Eastern allies of the United States, including Jordan, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran also claimed to have attacked U.S. military bases in Syria; however, it was reported that U.S. forces had already withdrawn from those bases earlier this year.
