Aiming to Submit IND for U.S. Phase 3 Clinical Trials Next Year
GC Green Cross is set to accelerate the establishment of infrastructure for subcutaneous immunoglobulin (SCIG) injections in the United States.
GC Green Cross announced on July 16 that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) for mid- to long-term investment in Cheongju with North Chungcheong Province and Cheongju City at the North Chungcheong Provincial Government office.
GC Green Cross will invest a total of 530 billion won in the Ochang plant over the next eight years, up to 2033. Of this amount, 140 billion won will be allocated to establishing production facilities for '20% SCIG (GC5136B)'. The 20% SCIG is one of the five top-priority pipeline projects recently selected by the company.
Based on its optimized processes, GC Green Cross aims to submit an Investigational New Drug (IND) application for phase 3 clinical trials of the 20% SCIG—which is currently at the preclinical stage—to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) next year.
