Shinhan Bank is launching financial education programs for retired public officials.

View original imageOn July 16, Shinhan Bank announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding with the Government Employees Pension Service at the Smart Work Conference Room of the Government Employees Pension Service, located at Seoul Sangnok Hall in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The agreement aims to strengthen artificial intelligence (AI) and digital financial competencies of retired public officials and to enhance financial consumer protection.
The purpose of this agreement is to support retired public officials in using financial services easily and safely, as well as to expand financial consumer protection education, such as the prevention of financial fraud.
The two organizations will operate customized financial education programs for retired public officials on topics including financial fraud prevention, AI utilization, digital finance, and asset management. In addition, they plan to jointly promote campaigns and cooperate in public relations to spread the culture of financial consumer protection.
Shinhan Bank will leverage its AI·Digital Financial Education Center, ‘Shinhan HakiJae,’ to provide experiential financial education, enabling retired public officials to directly experience and learn about AI and digital finance. Furthermore, in order to help prevent financial fraud and support a stable retirement life, the bank also plans to conduct customized asset management education covering money management after receiving pensions and understanding of financial products.

A Shinhan Bank official stated, “Through our cooperation with the Government Employees Pension Service, we will provide practical education to help retired public officials adapt more stably to the changing AI and digital financial environment.” The official added, “We will continue to expand public institution partnerships for financial consumer protection and digital inclusion, thereby contributing to the creation of social value.”
