Naver Cloud Receives Top Grade in Information Security Evaluation...Awarded Commendation from Minister of Science and ICT
Naver Cloud announced on July 16 that it had received the top "Best" grade in the "2025 Comprehensive Information Security Evaluation of Major Information and Communications Infrastructure in the Private Sector," conducted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the Korea Internet & Security Agency (KISA), and was awarded a commendation from the Minister (Deputy Prime Minister) of the Ministry of Science and ICT.
The facility evaluated as "Best" is Naver's data center, "Gak Chuncheon." This marks the first time it has been evaluated since being designated as major information and communications infrastructure, and it achieved the highest grade on its initial assessment. "Gak Chuncheon" ranked within the top 10% in the information and communications sector among all 101 management agencies reviewed.
The comprehensive information security evaluation is a system that thoroughly checks the security level of major information and communications infrastructure in the private sector. It assesses four areas: vulnerability management (30 points), security audit (30 points), evaluation of information security tasks (30 points), and simulated penetration test evaluation (10 points). Naver Cloud achieved excellent results in all areas and was awarded the highest grade. Based on this achievement, the company was recognized for its contributions to improving information security and received a commendation from the Minister of Science and ICT.
Naver Cloud has established a response system that includes ongoing vulnerability analysis and improvements, security audits, implementation of information security tasks, and practical simulated penetration training. The company is also engaging in public-private collaboration with the government and related organizations.
Naver Cloud was recently honored with a commendation from the Prime Minister for its contributions to stabilizing incident prevention and response systems for AI and cloud infrastructure and strengthening national cybersecurity.
