Jang Jongtae Announces Candidacy for Democratic Party Daejeon City Chairperson
"A Golden Opportunity to Transform Daejeon's Future Landscape"
Jang Jongtae, a member of the National Assembly representing Seo-gu Gap in Daejeon from the Democratic Party of Korea, announced his candidacy for the position of Daejeon City Party Chairperson on July 16.
Assemblyman Jang held a press conference at the Daejeon City Council that day, stating, "I will set a new milestone for the Daejeon city party to drive the city's leap forward."
He said, "This is a golden opportunity to reshape the future of Daejeon as major mega projects in advanced semiconductors and artificial intelligence (AI) are being pursued. I will form a one-team joint response group with fellow lawmakers to actively work toward securing government funding."
