Jeong Ihan, Arrested and Sent to Prosecution on Charges of "Staged Attack"
The Geumjeong Police Station in Busan announced on the 16th that candidate Jeong Ihan of the Reform New Party and another individual were arrested and sent to the prosecution on charges including obstruction of official duties by fraudulent means and violations of the Public Official Election Act.
The police explained that, based on the results of the investigation so far, no additional crimes such as monetary transactions or accomplices have been identified. However, they plan to continue closely cooperating with the prosecution to investigate related suspicions even after transferring the case.

A police official stated, "So far, no additional charges or accomplices, including monetary transactions, have been confirmed," adding, "We will continue to work with the prosecution to further investigate the case after the transfer."
