The Chinese party and government delegation led by Chairman Wang arrived in North Korea via Pyongyang Airport the previous day and will stay until July 17. This visit follows Chinese President Xi Jinping's visit to North Korea and summit meeting last month, as well as the visit to China by a North Korean delegation led by Premier Pak Tae-song earlier this month. The continued high-level exchanges surrounding the 65th anniversary of the treaty appear to be aimed at institutionalizing strategic communication between the two countries and materializing cooperation in economic and diplomatic spheres.
