[Weather] Seoul Reaches 32 Degrees in the Afternoon... Rainy Season Showers and Tropical Nights Across the Country

View original imageRain is forecast from the morning in the Jeolla region and Jeju Island, shifting to the southern part of Chungcheong and northwestern inland of Gyeongnam at night.
Expected precipitation levels are 20–60mm for Daejeon, southern Chungnam, and southern Chungbuk; 30–80mm for Jeonbuk, Gwangju, and Jeonnam; 30–80mm for Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam; and 5–30mm for Jeju Island.
Morning low temperatures will range between 20 and 26 degrees Celsius, while daytime high temperatures are expected to reach between 28 and 37 degrees Celsius.
Some regions may experience tropical nights, as minimum nighttime temperatures are forecast to remain at or above 25 degrees Celsius.
Through the day after tomorrow, temperatures will be similar to or slightly higher than the seasonal average.
In Seoul, the temperature is expected to reach 32 degrees Celsius, rising more than 6 degrees in just one day. Other central and northern regions will also become hot again, with Incheon at 30 degrees and Chuncheon at 31 degrees. High humidity levels will intensify the apparent heat.
In the Gyeongnam region, highs are expected to reach up to 33 degrees, while the Gyeongbuk region and eastern coastal Gangwon may see temperatures of up to 35 degrees Celsius.
Heat wave advisories are in effect for the mountainous regions and eastern coast of Gangwon, Gyeongsang region, and Jeju Island, but the rain starting tomorrow is expected to either lift or lessen these warnings.
Wave heights at sea are expected to be 0.5–1.5 meters off the east and south coasts, and 0.5–1.0 meters off the west coast.

In offshore waters (up to approximately 200 km from the coastline), wave heights are forecast at 0.5–2.5 meters in the East Sea, 0.5–1.5 meters in the West Sea, and 0.5–2.0 meters in the South Sea.
