230,000 Ulju Residents Unite... Residents' Day to Be Held at Onyang Sports Park on September 19
Committee Convenes to Review and Finalize Basic Event Plans
Ulju County in Ulsan announced on July 15 that it will hold the 35th Ulju County Residents' Day Commemorative Event, the largest festival for its 230,000 residents, at the Onyang Sports Park on September 19.
On this day, Ulju County convened the 35th Ulju County Residents' Day Commemoration Committee in the Ewha Hall at the county office, where they reviewed and finalized the basic plans for the event, including the schedule, location, and key programs.
During the meeting, eight newly appointed committee members were presented with appointment certificates following the expiration of previous terms, and discussions were held on ways to ensure that all residents can participate and enjoy the event by incorporating feedback from various groups.
The committee members exchanged a wide range of opinions on the composition and management direction of the event, including the commemorative ceremony, cultural performances, and programs designed to foster community unity, as well as strategies to encourage the participation of more residents in the festival.
This year's Residents' Day will serve as a signature event for Ulju County, designed to reflect on the region's history and traditions and strengthen residents' pride. In addition to the commemorative ceremony, a variety of cultural performances and interactive programs will be held to create a space for harmony across generations and social groups.
Notably, as this marks the first Residents' Day festival since the launch of the ninth popularly elected administration, it is expected to be a meaningful celebration that strengthens community bonds and shares a vision for Ulju's future.
Going forward, the county plans to work closely with the committee to refine the detailed programs and accelerate preparations to ensure a safe and well-organized event.
