On Chobok, Seniors Come First... Gori Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters Shares Samgyetang with 580 Vulnerable Residents
In celebration of Chobok, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Gori Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters (led by Director Lee Sang-wook) has launched a samgyetang sharing initiative to help local senior citizens stay healthy during the summer.
On July 15, Gori Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters announced that it had delivered 580 servings of abalone ginseng chicken soup to vulnerable elderly residents who use the senior meal centers in Jangan-eup and Ilgwang-eup, as well as the Ilgwang Senior Welfare Center.
Officials and employees of the Gori Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters delivered 580 servings of abalone samgyetang to vulnerable senior citizens using the senior citizen restaurants in Jangan-eup and Ilgwang-eup, as well as the Ilgwang Senior Welfare Center on the 15th.
View original imageThis event was organized to support the health of elderly residents, whose immunity can be weakened by the intense summer heat. In total, 280 servings were provided to the meal centers in Jangan-eup and Ilgwang-eup, and 300 servings went to the Ilgwang Senior Welfare Center.
On the same day, volunteer members from Gori took part in serving the meals themselves at the Jangan-eup meal center, checking in with the seniors and wishing them a healthy summer.
Gori Nuclear Power Plant Headquarters has also continued its free meal support program for local seniors. This program, which provides weekly weekend meals to elderly residents in Choiinggeun Village, has been in operation for 16 years as of this year.
