Namhae-gun Launches Third Phase of 'Half-Price Travel' Project to Attract Summer Tourists
Up to 50% Refund on Travel Expenses, Up to 70% Support for Young Visitors

Namhae-gun in South Gyeongsang Province will begin accepting advance applications for the third phase of the "2026 National Rest Area BanBan Namhae (Half-Price Travel)" project, which offers a refund of up to 50% of travel expenses (up to 70% for young people) in celebration of the summer vacation season. Applications will be accepted starting July 20.
The "2026 National Rest Area BanBan Namhae" project is a tourism support program selected for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's local love vacation support initiative. It provides partial refunds of travel expenses to visitors through mobile local love gift certificates.
The first and second phases of the project closed early due to high demand and contributed to revitalizing local tourism and expanding consumer activity in the region, with the total spending reaching 2.4 billion won.

Namhae-gun also operates the "Romantic Namhae" platform, where visitors can make reservations for accommodations and experience programs. Those who book accommodation through this platform will receive additional discounts on a first-come, first-served basis.
This third phase of advance applications targets visitors traveling to Namhae-gun from August 1 to August 31, and applications can be submitted on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 10 a.m. on July 20 through the Namhae Culture and Tourism website.
Lee Yeonju, Head of Tourism Promotion, stated, "Given the high interest in the National Rest Area BanBan Namhae, we are preparing so that many tourists can benefit from the program," adding, "We will focus on improving services and promoting the program to help travelers enjoy Namhae's diverse tourism resources and encourage consumption within the region."
