Miryang Super Festival Declares "No Protocol" Event... Boosting Satisfaction for Citizens and Tourists
The "Three No's" Principle:
No Protocol, No Waiting, No Price Gouging
Miryang City, Gyeongnam Province, will be running the '2026 Miryang Super Festival'.
The city announced that the event, which will take place from August 7 to August 9, 2026, along the Sammun-dong Miryang Riverside area, will be organized as a participatory festival where citizens and tourists become the main protagonists.
The festival's operations will incorporate the recent emphasis on "citizen-centered protocol" throughout all planning and management.
This year's festival will be run based on the "three no" operating principles: a festival with no ceremonial protocol, a festival with no waiting, and a festival with no price gouging.
This year, the event will prioritize visitors over ceremony, dedicating more staff to guide operations, safety management, and transportation and convenience support.
The environment will be designed so that water activities, experience programs, and performances can be enjoyed more comfortably.
Operational efficiency will be maximized so that visitors can start enjoying water sports and activities immediately upon arrival at the festival grounds.
Main participatory programs, such as the Super Challenge Race, Super Badminton, and Super Survival, will operate on a pre-registration system to minimize on-site congestion and waiting times.
Additionally, a food zone called "Supermarket (Beer & Food)," seating 500 people and located next to the concert hall, will feature a smart order system.
This system will allow visitors to order conveniently using their mobile devices, offering a pleasant environment that eliminates long queues so they can focus more on performances and activities.
To thoroughly prevent price gouging within the festival grounds, the city will collaborate with food vendors in advance to agree on reasonable menu prices.
To promote co-prosperity with local small businesses, a "Delivery Plaza" will be operated in connection with the public delivery app "Ddang-Gyeo-Yo."
Visitors who place orders via mobile at the venue will receive 40% of the payment amount back in regional gift certificates.
Byounggu Ahn, Mayor of Miryang, stated, "This year's Miryang Super Festival has been carefully prepared to remove formalities so that citizens and tourists can focus solely on enjoyment. We will operate the event as a visitor-centered festival that prioritizes citizens over protocol, experience-based content over the opening ceremony, and satisfaction over outdated tradition, aiming to make it Miryang's signature summer festival."
