102 Golf Courses to Remain Open During Summer Heatwave
Golf Course Management Association Announces Opening and Closing Schedules for Member Courses
25 Courses Closed for Summer; Advance Confirmation of Operating Status Advised
In South Korea, 102 golf courses are operating normally without any closures during the summer heatwave.
The Korea Golf Course Management Association announced on July 15 that, based on a survey of its nationwide members regarding summer closure and business status, 25 golf courses will have summer closures while 102 golf courses will not close. In particular, certain courses such as Gonjiam CC (11 days), Wellington (10 days), Teddy Valley, and Haevichi Seoul (each 7 days) will be closed for longer periods.
Many golf courses have yet to finalize their closure schedules. Additionally, depending on weather conditions such as heatwaves and localized heavy rains, closures may be implemented flexibly. The Golf Course Management Association advised that when visiting a golf course, players should check directly with the course about its closure and operating status.
