KT announced on July 15 that it held the 'AX Tech Connect 2026' event at its KT Umyeon Research and Development Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul, to share its artificial intelligence (AI) transformation (AX) capabilities and research and development (R&D) achievements.
This year's event features KT's AX implementation strategies, exhibitions of the latest AI, data, and network technologies, and related topic presentations. Exhibits include the Mideum K model, multimodal AI, agentic AI-based solutions, and the Data AX Core. Attendees can also explore specialized AX business agents, hyper-personalized services, and practical AI applications for work through next-generation search and analytics technologies.
Network-related exhibits showcase the 'Hyper AI Network,' which provides the connectivity and computing infrastructure needed in the AI era, an 'Autonomous Operation' for self-managing network operations, and 'AI Network Security Technologies' to prepare for the age of AI, 6G, and quantum communications. Presentations cover topics such as directions for physical AI R&D, data strategies for company-wide AX expansion, and development plans for the Hyper AI Network.

KT intends to present its 'AX Full Stack' implementation system, which organically connects AI, data, and network, and plans to highlight its AX capabilities by expanding R&D results into tangible business and service offerings. Park Jaehyung, Head of KT's AX Future Technology Institute, said, "This event is an opportunity to share KT's core technologies and future AX strategies," adding, "We will continue to outline execution-driven directions for AX innovation that can be applied to customer service and industrial settings."
