Vehicle Exhibition and Hands-on Programs Promote Korea-France Exchange
Which vehicle appeared on Bastille Day, the French Revolution anniversary, marking the 140th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and Korea?
Renault Korea's "Fillent" participated in the Bastille Day celebration held in Seoul. Through vehicle exhibitions and hands-on programs, the event contributed to cultural exchanges between Korea and France.
Renault Korea announced on July 15 that it took part in "Bastille Day 2026," hosted by the French Korean Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FKCCI) at Sebitseom, Seoul, on the 14th, where it showcased its global flagship crossover, Fillent, and hosted a variety of on-site programs.
Bastille Day is a celebration of the French Revolution anniversary, serving as a representative event in Korea where French culture and businesses are introduced. This year's event was even more meaningful, as it marked the 140th anniversary of diplomatic ties between France and Korea.
Renault Korea displayed the Fillent at the venue and provided professional docents to introduce the vehicle's design and key technologies. Given the diverse international audience, English-speaking docents were also present, explaining the vehicle's strengths and the brand philosophy.
Interactive programs for visitors were organized as well. There was a mobile quiz using QR codes and opportunities to apply for a test drive, with both Korean and English pages available to ensure participation from both locals and foreigners. Participants received reusable bags as souvenirs, and a monthly Fillent test drive pass was given away through a raffle.
The event was attended by major figures from Korea and overseas, including Nikola Paris, CEO of Renault Korea; Philippe Bertoux, the French Ambassador to Korea; and David-Pierre Jalicon, Chairman of FKCCI, who together commemorated the 140th anniversary of France-Korea diplomatic relations.
On the same day, Renault Korea also participated in the official luncheon event organized by the French Embassy in Korea at the Grand Hyatt Seoul, where it operated a brand consultation booth and introduced vehicles, strengthening its engagement with visitors.
