SynthecaBio Partners with Ezen Medical Foundation for AI Precision Medicine Collaboration and Strategic Investment
SynthecaBio, an artificial intelligence (AI)-based drug discovery company, announced on July 15 that it has signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Ezen Medical Foundation to strengthen competitiveness in the AI-based bio and precision medicine sectors and secure future growth engines.
This agreement aims to combine SynthecaBio's AI bio-platform technology with Ezen Medical Foundation's expertise in healthcare and medical examinations, fostering joint research and commercialization in various fields such as precision medicine, genomic analysis, and digital healthcare.
Under the agreement, both parties plan to expand collaboration in a range of areas, including establishing an AI-based precision medicine platform, genomic analysis and diagnostic services, medical checkups and preventive healthcare, digital healthcare, utilization of medical big data, AI-driven bio-convergence businesses, animal healthcare, and the exploration of new opportunities in bio and healthcare businesses.
They also plan to pursue strategic investments to enhance the effectiveness of their joint projects and build a long-term cooperative framework. The size, method, and detailed terms of the investment will be determined through future consultations, due diligence, and legally required procedures, and will be finalized in a separate contract.
The two organizations intend to combine clinical data accumulated in medical settings with AI technology to jointly discover new medical services and business models. By gradually advancing research, development, and commercialization, they aim to contribute to strengthening the competitiveness of Korea's bio industry.
Donggun Kim, chairman of Ezen Medical Foundation, stated, "We expect that the combination of AI technology and practical experience in healthcare can provide new growth opportunities for the precision medicine and bio industries," adding, "We will do our best to closely cooperate with SynthecaBio to successfully implement joint projects and strategic investments."
A representative from SynthecaBio commented, "This memorandum of understanding represents a meaningful starting point for building a sustainable cooperative framework between medical institutions and AI bio companies. By linking business collaboration with strategic investment, we expect to strengthen our mid- to long-term growth foundation and increase our corporate value."
Meanwhile, this MOU serves as a basic agreement for strategic cooperation between the two parties, and specific plans for joint projects and investments will be pursued sequentially following further discussions and related procedures.
