LG Uplus Revamps 'Roaming Pass'... Immediate International Roaming Without Complex Setup
Auto Activation, Family Data Sharing, and Device Integration Provided
LG Uplus announced on the 15th that it has revamped its "Roaming Pass" to reduce the cumbersome setup and subscription procedures during the overseas roaming process.
With this update, customers can now use roaming services immediately upon arrival in a foreign country, without separately entering their arrival time. Family data sharing settings and repetitive subscription procedures have also been automated, further enhancing convenience throughout the entire roaming experience.
These suggestions were collected via "Simple Lab," a customer participation platform. Simple Lab is a platform where customers can share their inconveniences and suggest improvement ideas related to communication service usage.
Through this revamp, customers no longer need to set their arrival time separately to use roaming services overseas. Previously, customers had to manually enter their local arrival time when subscribing to roaming. There had been continuous feedback that it was inconvenient to consider time differences and daylight saving time between countries and set up options before departure.
The upgraded Roaming Pass now automatically activates the service the moment customers first connect to a network at their destination airport. Without needing to set the time separately, users can access data immediately upon arrival abroad, making the roaming process far more user-friendly.
Family customers can also now share data more easily. Previously, each family member had to subscribe to roaming individually and complete a separate process to share data. After the revamp, if a family using bundled products requests to share roaming data, the main subscriber can set up both the data sharing and roaming subscription at once.

For customers visiting multiple countries over a certain period, there used to be the inconvenience of having to reapply for roaming every time they traveled. With the improved Roaming Pass, once the service is set up initially, it will be applied automatically for future trips without extra registration. If the customer selects the automatic application option at the first subscription, the same product will be automatically applied when they depart again.
Junyong Jang, Head of Marketing at LG Uplus, said, "After analyzing feedback received through Simple Lab, we found that customers wanted to minimize hassles around roaming subscriptions and data usage so they could focus on travel. We will continue to create easier and more convenient communication services together with our customers."
