Fantagio Begins Production of KBS Daily Drama "My Mother Has Gone Crazy"... First Broadcast in September
Fantagio, a comprehensive entertainment company, announced on July 15 that it has officially begun production for the new KBS 1TV daily drama "My Mother Has Gone Crazy."
"My Mother Has Gone Crazy" recently completed its script reading session at the KBS Annex in Yeouido, Seoul, and is scheduled to begin filming at the end of this month. The first broadcast is planned for mid-September.
This project follows Fantagio's previous drama offering, the SBS Friday-Saturday series "Manager Kim," and marks the company's latest drama project. Fantagio explained that it is continuously expanding its content business by producing and supplying dramas to various broadcasting channels.
Building on its foundation in actor management, Fantagio has steadily enhanced its drama production capabilities. The company has accumulated experience and expertise by producing a range of works, including tvN's "Blind," JTBC's "Miraculous Brothers," MBC's "A Good Day to Be a Dog," KBS2's "Phantasy Sonata," "Treat Me Carelessly," SBS's "Manager Kim," and now KBS1's "My Mother Has Gone Crazy."
Based on the synergy between its management and content businesses, the company is expanding its content ventures beyond dramas to include films and performances. Fantagio aims to strengthen its competitiveness as a comprehensive entertainment company by securing its own intellectual property (IP) and expanding its production capabilities.
Namkoong Kyun, Chairman of Fantagio, stated, "We have continued to present dramas in various genres, thereby enhancing our content production capabilities," and added, "Going forward, we will further boost our competitiveness by continuously producing highly sophisticated content."
