The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Arts Management Support Center announced on July 15 that they are recruiting 15 art-tech convergence companies to join Art Korea Lab, an art-tech specialized comprehensive support platform, by July 30.

View original imageArt Korea Lab is a platform that supports the growth and commercialization of art companies by providing office space, experimental and demonstration infrastructure, and customized growth programs for companies. This open call targets companies seeking business expansion through the fusion of art and technology.
Eligible applicants are art-tech convergence companies established within 10 years as of the announcement date. Companies that combine technology with cultural and artistic content or products to plan, produce, perform, exhibit, or sell, or companies developing new business models that fuse art and technology based on technical expertise, are eligible to apply. Companies must be classified as small or medium-sized enterprises under the Framework Act on Small and Medium Enterprises, and both sole proprietors and corporations are eligible.
The recruitment targets a total of 15 companies. Approximately 4 companies will be selected for large office spaces, and around 11 for small office spaces. Large office spaces are 11.8 to 12 pyeong in size and must accommodate at least 6 residents, while small spaces are 6.1 pyeong and require at least 3 residents per company.
Selected companies will move into Art Korea Lab in Jongno-gu, Seoul, starting in October. They will be provided with independent office spaces and gain access to creative production facilities such as a maker studio and printing studio. Programs to strengthen business capacity, such as company assessments and customized mentoring, investment consulting sessions, IR demo days, and participation in domestic and international industry exhibitions, will also be provided. Maintenance fees are charged separately.
The basic residency period is 1 year and 6 months, with the possibility of extension up to a maximum of 3 years depending on evaluation results. Applications must be submitted online via the National Culture and Arts Support System by 5:00 p.m. on July 30.
