Protinah and Onconic Therapeutics to Collaborate on Next-Generation Anti-Cancer Drug Research
Protinah has signed a strategic business agreement (MOU) with Onconic Therapeutics to collaborate on research and development in the field of next-generation anti-cancer drug mechanisms.

View original imageAccording to Protinah on July 15, under this agreement, the two companies will jointly research new drugs based on molecular glue—a next-generation targeted protein degrader (TPD) field. In addition, the scope of joint research includes the development of antibody-oligonucleotide conjugates (AOC) and degrader-antibody conjugates (DAC) in the next-generation antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) field, as well as the establishment of platforms based on these technologies.
Protinah is expanding the application of its core technologies from its proprietary new drug pipeline and AI antibody design business to the development of next-generation modality drugs. The company plans to verify the platform's applicability not only in antibodies, but also new modality fields such as protein degraders and ADCs, thereby increasing opportunities for global joint research.
Onconic Therapeutics is a drug research and development company that developed and commercialized the gastroesophageal reflux disease treatment “Zacubo” and possesses regulatory expertise in non-clinical, clinical, and chemistry, manufacturing, and controls (CMC) in Korea. As a company specializing in the development of anticancer drugs, it has strengths in candidate technologies for the payloads of ADC targeted anticancer drugs, and is also developing dual-targeted anticancer drugs based on synthetic lethality mechanisms.
