Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Research Center Holds Training for After-School Agricultural Education Instructors
On July 15 and 16, the Gyeonggi-do Agricultural Research and Extension Services will hold a "Capacity Building Program for Instructors of After-School Agricultural and Rural Programs" at the Gangcheon Island Agricultural Exchange Center in Yeoju City.
The purpose of the program is to enhance instructors’ professional competencies so that agricultural and rural programs can be operated stably in school after-school settings, and to build a cooperative network among relevant institutions.
The training is divided into theory and policy understanding as well as hands-on practice and demonstration. It covers topics such as the developmental characteristics of lower-grade elementary students and practical lesson design, understanding after-school care education policy and the instructor’s role, school site safety management and first aid, and demonstration of mock lessons based on standardized modules with mutual feedback. A total of 26 participants, including rural education farm instructors and farmers, are taking part.
