Seongbuk District to Hold Photo Contest with Total Prizes of 5.5 Million Won

Seongbuk District in Seoul will hold the 2026 Photo Contest under the theme "Seongbuk to Live In, Moments That Make You Want to Live Here" from July 20 until August 21.
The contest is open to both Korean citizens and foreigners residing in Korea. There are two categories: standard camera and smartphone. Eligible entries must be photos taken in Seongbuk District after September 21, 2025. Each person can submit up to three photos. Entries must be submitted through the "Online Photo Contest" page on the Seongbuk District Office website.
The contest seeks images that depict daily life, natural scenery, and the lives of people in Seongbuk. The district explained that submissions are not limited to tourist attractions or glamorous scenes, but may also include everyday moments such as alleyways, seasonal changes, or neighbors' smiles.
The district will select 24 winning entries across the two categories and award a total of 5.5 million won in prize money. The grand prize in the general camera category is 1 million won, and 500,000 won for the smartphone category. The winning entries will be announced on the district's official website between September and October and winners will be notified individually.
