Hanjin announced on July 14 that an employee who was found collapsed at the Dongseoul Hub in Jangji-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul, has died during medical treatment.
On the same day, Hanjin disclosed the occurrence of this serious industrial accident on the Financial Supervisory Service's electronic disclosure system. The company explained, "A subcontractor employee was found collapsed while performing goods transfer work and was transported to the hospital unconscious, but unfortunately died during treatment." The cause of death remains unknown at this time.

Hanjin further stated that the police and the Ministry of Employment and Labor will inspect the site and determine the exact cause. The company added, "As of the date of this disclosure, it is unclear whether this incident constitutes a serious industrial accident under the Occupational Safety and Health Act. We will issue a correction notice if required following the results of the authorities' investigation."
