SKT Adds SK AX and Technomatrix to Independent AI Foundation Model Consortium
Enhancing Industrial AI Transformation Capabilities Through Expanded Consortium Participation
SK Telecom announced on July 14 that it has added SK AX and Technomatrix as consortium participants in the government's independent AI foundation model project.
The SKT elite team expects that the addition of these two companies, which specialize in industrial AI transformation (AX) and AI operations in manufacturing, will further enhance the industry's ability to adopt AI foundation models.
SK AX is a company specializing in AI transformation and, within the elite team, is responsible for discovering B2B AX cases, promoting proof-of-concept projects, and establishing systems for industry-wide expansion.
SK AX is building a system that enables sharing and utilization of the A.X (A.DotX) model, supporting improvements in work productivity, report writing, and agent builder features.
Technomatrix specializes in AI, machine learning, and foundation model operations, with a particular focus on optimizing AI model operations. SKT expects that the inclusion of Technomatrix will support the industrial AI transformation and the optimization of manufacturing operations.
The SKT elite team has also strengthened a collaborative framework that organically connects model development, data construction, domestic AI semiconductor utilization, service proof-of-concept, academic research, and industry implementation. In particular, collaboration within the consortium is organized into four tracks: model/infrastructure, advanced research, data, and service expansion, thereby creating synergies among participating organizations.
The SKT elite team plans to expand the application of its independent AI models across various areas, including industrial AX, public and defense sectors, manufacturing, gaming, mobility, search, security, and bio.
