S-Oil to Host “Impressive Marathon” in Celebration of 50th Anniversary
250 Million Won Donated to the Korea Rehabilitation Association for the Disabled
Festival of Unity with 7,000 Runners Scheduled for October
S-Oil announced on July 14 that it had delivered 250 million won in sponsorship for the 50th anniversary 'Touching Marathon' to the Korea Disabled Rehabilitation Association at its headquarters in Mapo-gu, Seoul.

View original imageThe 'Touching Marathon' will be held on October 4 at Peace Square in Peace Park, Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, with the renowned national marathoner Lee Bongju serving as director. Approximately 7,000 runners, both non-disabled and disabled, are expected to participate in the event, which will be organized in three categories: 5 km, 10 km, and half marathon. Disabled participants can join the marathon free of charge.
From 2006 to 2019, S-Oil held the 'Touching Marathon' for 14 years, supporting the rehabilitation will and spirit of challenge of people with disabilities and working to improve societal perceptions of the disabled. The marathon, resuming this year, is set to be a festival of harmony for both disabled and non-disabled people, and applications for participation will be accepted through the official 'Touching Marathon' website for one month starting August 1.
