OSP Completes Paid-in Capital Increase Payment... Accelerates Capital Expansion
OSP has completed the payment for its third-party allotment paid-in capital increase ahead of schedule.
According to the financial investment industry on July 14, Y2K Partners, which participated as a strategic investor (SI) in OSP, made the payment for the paid-in capital increase earlier than originally planned. This measure was taken to swiftly establish a responsible management system for the new board of directors to be appointed at the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders at the end of this month, as well as to quickly secure capital soundness.
OSP was recently designated as an administrative issue under the strengthened KOSDAQ listing regulations. The company plans to enhance its financial stability and swiftly resolve related risks through this early capital injection.
The main business—pet food—is also showing clear signs of improvement. OSP succeeded in turning an operating profit in the first quarter of this year, and exports of its proprietary brand "Indigo" increased by 22% compared to the same period last year. In the second half of the year, the company plans to accelerate its overseas market expansion by establishing an online store dedicated to Chile, entering South American e-commerce platforms, and supplying products to Costco Taiwan.
OSP is also actively pursuing shareholder return policies to enhance shareholder value. This year, the company cancelled 210,000 treasury shares, carried out a bonus issue allocating 0.5 new shares per share, and acquired an additional 2 billion won worth of treasury shares.
