Hanwha Galleria Acquires Sinsa-dong Land for 236.7 Billion Won for "Business Diversification"
Hanwha Galleria announced on the 13th that it has acquired land in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, for 236.7 billion won as part of its business diversification strategy through real estate development.
The land purchased is located at 633-3, Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. It had previously been designated for the development of a luxury villa site, but the project was reportedly canceled.
Hanwha Galleria plans to establish special purpose companies, such as a project financing vehicle (PFV), and pursue the development of a premium residential complex.
A Hanwha Galleria official stated, "This site has extremely high scarcity value as a premium location, and we anticipate a significant increase in its future value. By participating in this project, we aim not only to develop a residential complex but also to create various synergies, such as expanding differentiated customer experiences."
The acquisition amount accounts for 11.73% of Hanwha Galleria's total assets.

Hanwha Galleria previously acquired the Sunhwa Building and its land on Seosomun-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul, for 213.5 billion won.
