Korea Industrial Complex Corporation Receives Top "Excellent" Rating in 2026 Disaster Management Assessment

Achievements in Industrial Complex Safety Management Acknowledged
The Korea Industrial Complex Corporation announced on July 13 that it received the highest rating of "Excellent" in the "2026 Disaster Management Assessment" organized by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety's disaster management assessment is a system that comprehensively evaluates the disaster management capabilities of agencies responsible for disaster management, in accordance with the Basic Act on Disaster and Safety Management. This year, the assessment covered a total of 340 organizations, including 30 central government ministries, 67 public institutions, and 243 local governments, evaluating their capabilities in each phase of disaster management: prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery. Results are classified into three grades: Excellent, Satisfactory, and Insufficient.
As a public institution in the safety management category, the Korea Industrial Complex Corporation received high scores for the disaster response capabilities of its leadership, actual cases of disaster and accident prevention and response, and the appropriateness of its disaster management organization and personnel operations.
In particular, the corporation was highly rated for strengthening its dedicated disaster management organization to prevent industrial complex disasters and ensure prompt on-site response, as well as for its ongoing support for safety management of tenant companies and the promotion of safety culture within industrial complexes. Based on the results of this assessment, the corporation plans to further reinforce preemptive checks on disaster vulnerabilities specific to each industrial complex and expand field-oriented safety management activities to prepare for seasonal disaster risks such as typhoons, floods, fires, and heatwaves.
