Sancheong County Named Best Local Government in Public Sector at 'Hope 2026 Neighborly Love Merit Awards'

Sancheong County in Gyeongnam Province announced on the 13th that it had been selected as the Best Local Government in the Public Sector at the Hope 2026 Neighborly Love Merit Awards held at the Rivera Convention in Changwon.
This award was given to local governments, individuals, and organizations that contributed to social responsibility through activities such as spreading a culture of sharing in the local community, practicing neighborly love, and fundraising initiatives.

In the individual and organizational categories, the Welfare Policy Division and Ban Yeon-gyeong, the Hope Welfare Officer, as well as the Sancheong County Christian Association, each received a commendation from the Governor of Gyeongnam Province. Additionally, Administrative Officers Kang Nari and Lee Jinhou, along with the Sancheong County Construction Machinery Council, each received a commendation from the President of the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea.
Sancheong County stated that it plans to continue promoting public-private cooperation projects to further spread the culture of sharing in the local community and support those in welfare blind spots.
