SKAI Intelligence Valued at 100 Billion Won with Investment from Oracle-Vector Regional Innovation Venture Fund
SKAI Intelligence, a company specializing in digital twin and industrial synthetic data infrastructure, has successfully secured additional investment, with its corporate value recognized at approximately 100 billion won.
SKAI Intelligence announced on July 13 that it has attracted investment from the Oracle-Vector Regional Innovation Venture Fund, which is co-managed (Co-GP) by Wiyup Technology Investment, a new technology project finance company, and Oracle Venture Investment. The company had previously received Series A investment from DS Investment Partners and, with this latest investment, its corporate value has once again been recognized at around 100 billion won.
The company explained that this investment was the result of a comprehensive evaluation of SKAI Intelligence's digital twin and industrial synthetic data technologies, as well as its global commercialization capabilities, especially as the adoption of physical AI in the manufacturing sector is expanding.
In particular, the company’s competitive edge in data infrastructure, which enables the large-scale production of high-quality physical AI training data for use in actual industrial settings, was cited as a key reason for the investment. The accelerating transition to physical AI in manufacturing and the increasing importance of data infrastructure capable of implementing real industrial environments as digital twins and generating and validating large volumes of AI training data also influenced the investment decision.
Wiyup Technology Investment has a track record of investing in numerous IPO-bound companies such as Sears Technology, SimPlatform, and Link Solution. More recently, it has been expanding its investment portfolio in the fields of AI, semiconductors, and advanced manufacturing, including investments in the U.S. silicon photonics company Ayar Labs.
SKAI Intelligence provides digital twin and industrial synthetic data infrastructure that precisely simulates real manufacturing and industrial environments based on NVIDIA Omniverse. Additionally, the company has built a simulation-ready data infrastructure that allows various tasks to be verified before physical AI is applied to actual industrial sites, addressing the shortage of AI training data in manufacturing.
The company is currently conducting joint research on robot vision and grasping technology with the AI Institute (AIIS) at Seoul National University, and is expanding its global cooperation network, including signing a strategic collaboration framework with global industrial robotics company ABB Robotics.
Lee Jaecheol, CEO of SKAI Intelligence, stated, "This additional investment is not just about securing capital; it is official recognition by the capital market of our technological capabilities and growth potential. We aim to grow into a global data infrastructure company leading the physical AI transformation of the manufacturing industry through continued R&D and global business expansion."
A representative from the investment company commented, "SKAI Intelligence has secured differentiated technological competitiveness in the field of industrial physical AI based on digital twin and synthetic data, and possesses strong capabilities in building AI training data and expanding into global markets. We highly valued its potential to become a key infrastructure company in the manufacturing AI transition process."
With this investment, SKAI Intelligence plans to accelerate its R&D and global market expansion, further advance its digital twin and industrial synthetic data technologies, and broaden its business scope into various industries such as manufacturing, robotics, and smart factories.
