Korea Western Power Launches 'Relay Integrity Declaration' with President Jung Bok Lee and 31 Senior Executives as First Participants
The First Step in 'CEO-Led Integrity Leadership' Initiatives
Relay Declarations to Expand to Second-Level Department Heads Across the Company
Jung Bok Lee, President of Korea Western Power Company, along with 31 other senior executives, has initiated a "Relay Integrity Declaration" to spread a practice-oriented ethical culture throughout the company.
On July 10 in Seosan, Chungnam, Korea Western Power Company held the "Senior Officials Integrity Relay Declaration Ceremony," which was attended by 32 senior executives including President Lee, company management, division and department heads at headquarters, and heads of nationwide business sites, the company announced on July 13.

This declaration was organized to carry forward the results of empathy gained from the "CEO Town Hall Meeting 2.0," which involved around 550 employees in 14 sessions at headquarters and business sites nationwide last June. As the first step in CEO-led integrity leadership activities—where senior officials initiate change and spread it throughout the organization—the aim is to establish an ethical culture in which supervisors set an example.
During the ceremony, all 32 senior executives wrote their own "personal relay statements of commitment to integrity" and pledged their determination through signatures, demonstrating a responsible commitment to ethical management based on their respective roles and responsibilities—going beyond mere formal declarations.
Starting with this declaration, Korea Western Power Company plans to extend the relay declarations to include department heads at the second management level across the company. The company intends to foster a culture where the actions of senior leaders naturally spread throughout the organization, thus reinforcing a foundation of ethical management that all members can relate to. Relay integrity declarations will also be produced as various content such as short-form videos (about 30 seconds) and card news, to be shared through internal bulletin boards and used to enhance employees' perception of integrity.
