Samsung Electronics DX Division Accelerates Work Innovation with Google AI
Samsung Electronics Introduces 'Gemini Enterprise'
Samsung Electronics has adopted Google Cloud’s enterprise artificial intelligence (AI) service, Gemini Enterprise, accelerating its agency-based AI work innovation.
On July 13, Google Cloud announced that it has partnered with Samsung Electronics to provide Gemini Enterprise to employees in the Device eXperience (DX) division worldwide, including in Korea. Google Cloud stated that this collaboration represents the largest enterprise agency-based AI deployment case in Korea to date.
Employees in the Samsung Electronics DX division will use the Gemini Enterprise application as an intelligence-based conversational collaboration platform. This app serves not only as a standalone chatbot but also as a centralized gateway connecting distributed internal systems. Employees can search and synthesize a variety of organizational knowledge data in real time for their work, and routine tasks such as information retrieval can be transformed into proactive, guided problem-solving processes.
The goal of both companies is to achieve company-wide AI democratization, enabling both developers and non-developers to directly create AI agents. Samsung Electronics also plans to establish an environment with enterprise-grade security and governance. Looking ahead, the company will develop a data environment and operational system for introducing customized, multi-step AI agents capable of autonomously handling complex corporate workflows.
Google Cloud will support business department managers in areas such as HR and marketing, enabling them to build customized AI agents optimized for their work through a no-code approach, all based on an agency framework with governance, security, and scalability. In terms of security, Gemini Enterprise will be deployed directly into a dedicated Google Cloud tenant environment for Samsung Electronics’ DX division, ensuring data sovereignty and enterprise governance. The company explained that sensitive corporate data will be managed exclusively in a controlled environment, with no risk of external leaks.
