Hansol Technics Establishes Mexican Subsidiary, Targets North American Automotive Market
Mexico Becomes North American Production Base
Strengthening Competitiveness in Automotive Electronics Business
Hansol Technics, a specialist in electrical and electronic components under the Hansol Group, is working to strengthen its manufacturing competitiveness by reorganizing its global production bases.
On July 13, Hansol Technics announced its plan to expand its overseas production system, which has so far been centered in Asia, to North America as well. The company also aims to specialize the functions of each production base to enhance manufacturing competitiveness and profitability.
Hansol Technics will establish a subsidiary in Mexico to target the North American automotive market. North America is one of the world's largest automotive markets, with approximately 16 million vehicles sold annually, and the demand for local procurement of automotive electronic components continues to grow.
The company plans to position Mexico as its North American production base to enhance customer responsiveness and strengthen its competitiveness in the automotive electronics business. The Mexican subsidiary will mainly produce automotive electronic components such as electronic transmission devices, interior and exterior LEDs, and wireless charging modules. By being close to major North American customers, it will improve logistics efficiency and supply responsiveness.
The company will also pursue specialization by function at its Asian production bases. TV power boards will be produced exclusively at the Ho Chi Minh City subsidiary in Vietnam, while the Thailand subsidiary will be operated as a dedicated production base for home appliance parts. By redefining the roles of each production base, Hansol Technics aims to improve operational efficiency and manufacturing competitiveness.
Through this reorganization of its production bases, Hansol Technics plans to expand its global supply chain to North America and continuously enhance its manufacturing competitiveness and profitability by specializing the functions of each production site.
