Jung-gu, Seoul Upgrades Tourism 'Tour Pass'
From Namsan Cable Car to K-Jjimjilbang Experiences
Jung-gu District in Seoul (District Mayor Kim Gilseong) announced on July 13 that it has expanded the product lineup of its mobile tourism pass, the "Seoul Jung-gu Tour Pass," from the previous two types to four types.
The Tour Pass is a product that allows users to access tourist attractions, restaurants, cafes, and performance or exhibition venues in Jung-gu for free or at discounted rates for a set period of time. Officially launched in April last year, there are 33 affiliated stores. According to the district, cumulative sales have exceeded 5,500 passes.
The newly expanded lineup consists of four types: Basic Pass (9,900 won), Namsan Cable Car Package Pass (21,900 won), Sparex Package Pass (21,900 won), and Integrated Pass (30,900 won). A new benefit has been added for free use of the Sparex jjimjilbang, and the Integrated Pass has been introduced to allow access to both the Namsan Cable Car and Sparex.
The district is also preparing recommended courses tailored to different purposes, such as family outings, romantic dates, and K-Tour experiences for foreigners. These will be available for review on the Tour Pass product page starting around July 16.
The range of attractions covered includes iconic sites like the Namsan Cable Car and Deoksugung Palace, restaurants such as those serving Sindang-dong Tteokbokki, discounts for performances at the National Jeongdong Theater, and discounts on Hanbok rentals and pottery-making experiences. The Tour Pass can be purchased from the Tour Pass Mall, Naver Store, and other platforms. The mobile ticket is delivered via KakaoTalk or text message, so it can be used without installing a separate app. A dedicated product for foreign visitors is also available.
