Korea Evaluation Data and Gowid Launch 'KO-ARBI' Alternative Corporate Credit Assessment Service

Discovering Undervalued "Blue Chips"... Combining Real-Time Data
Korea Evaluation Data and fintech company Gowid announced on July 13 that they will officially launch "KO-ARBI," an alternative credit evaluation service for newly established and small-sized corporations, in early August.
The two companies plan to open KO-ARBI on August 1 and provide corporate credit indicators for growth-stage companies to banks, credit card companies, capital companies, payment gateway firms, and others.
By combining Korea Evaluation Data’s credit information with Gowid’s real-time data processing technology, the companies have applied the nation’s first hybrid scoring method.
In line with the financial industry's trend to consider credit evaluations based on real-time financial data, the service incorporates up-to-date cash flow information.
Korea Evaluation Data expects that even companies facing inevitable deficits at the early stage of business—due to initial investments and other factors—can be properly evaluated for growth potential rather than being judged solely on financial statements. This will also help enhance their access to finance. The service is also seen as useful for selecting companies for investment and funding support, as well as for post-investment management.
KO-ARBI can be accessed through banners on partner financial institutions’ websites or via the KO-ARBI service URL. The application process requires only the corporate joint certificate. Since data verification is performed automatically, there is no need for separate documentation. The review period, which previously took two to three weeks, has been shortened to within one day of application.
The two companies plan to continue upgrading the service based on the accumulated data moving forward.
Kim Hangi, CEO of Gowid, stated, "We will fundamentally improve the funding environment for growth companies through our hybrid scoring method."
