A woman in her 40s has been indicted and detained for spitting at and verbally abusing police officers at the vote-counting center protest site in Olympic Park, Seoul. This is the first prosecution case arising from the protests at the vote-counting center.
The Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office announced on the 13th that a woman surnamed Kim, in her 40s, has been indicted and detained on charges including obstruction of official duties.

View original imageAccording to the prosecution, Kim was indicted on charges of spitting at and verbally abusing police officers managing the protest site in front of Gates 1 to 3 of the Handball Gymnasium in Olympic Park, Songpa-gu, Seoul, on June 23. She is also accused of filming the officers on duty without permission with her mobile phone and insulting their families.
