Eastar Jet Expands Peak Season Flights, Adds 82,000 Seats
Focus on Japan and Taiwan Routes from August to October
Daily Flights to Tokyo and Fukuoka
Additional Gimpo–Jeju Flights for Chuseok Holiday
This summer and fall, air routes for major short-haul destinations with high passenger demand—such as during summer vacation and the Chuseok holiday—will be expanded.
Eastar Jet announced on July 13 that it will increase the number of flights to Japan, Taiwan, and Jeju from August to October.
Through this expansion, from August to October, Eastar Jet will add 144 flights on the Incheon–Tokyo route, 144 flights on the Incheon–Fukuoka route, 58 flights on the Busan–Fukuoka route, and 56 flights on the Busan–Taipei route. As a result, the Incheon–Tokyo route will operate round-trip flights 4 to 5 times daily from August 14 to October 24, and the Incheon–Fukuoka route will operate round-trip flights 4 times daily during the same period. The Busan–Fukuoka and Busan–Taipei routes will operate round-trip flights 2 to 3 times daily from August 29 to October 24.
From September 19 to October 11, a period with several consecutive holidays in the fall, 32 additional flights will be added to the Gimpo–Jeju route. During this period, the average number of daily round-trip flights between Gimpo and Jeju will increase to 21. With this expansion, Eastar Jet will operate a total of 434 additional flights on five routes, supplying approximately 82,000 more seats.

An Eastar Jet representative stated, "In order to respond to the increase in demand during the peak season, we have added more flights focused on short-haul routes such as Jeju, Japan, and Taiwan," adding, "We plan to continue flexibly expanding capacity in line with customer travel and mobility needs."
