Jaju Sees Surge in Ultra-Lightweight Parasol Sales During Monsoon Season
Rising Demand for Protection Against Rain and UV Rays
Shinsegae Casa's lifestyle brand 'Jaju' announced on the 13th that demand for related items such as ultra-lightweight parasols has increased with the onset of the monsoon season.
In June, sales in Jaju's umbrella and rainwear category rose by approximately 40% compared to the previous month, and the average daily sales from July 1st to 8th were about 1.7 times higher than the overall daily average in June.
In particular, sales of lightweight parasols, which are both portable and versatile, increased by about 38% in June compared to the previous month. The '99g UV 3-Section Parasol,' which weighs just 99g and is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, features UV protection, making it popular as it can be used as an umbrella on rainy days and as a parasol on sunny days.
This product saw a sales increase of about 22% from July 1st to 8th, when the rainy season began in earnest, compared to the previous period. Early July sales were about 50% higher than in early June. The 'Flat Pouch 5-Section Blackout Parasol' also recorded a sales increase of around 85% in June compared to the previous month.
