Daewoong Pharmaceutical's Nabota Surpasses 1 Trillion Won in Cumulative Sales After 12 Years Since Launch
Annual Sales for Single Product Exceeded 200 Billion Won Last Year
Daewoong Pharmaceutical announced on July 13 that cumulative sales of its botulinum toxin product Nabota surpassed 1 trillion won as of the end of last month. This milestone comes approximately 12 years after its domestic launch in 2014.
Nabota is marketed under the brand name Jeuveau in the United States and Nuceiva in Europe. It has obtained product approvals from major regulatory agencies, including the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the European Medicines Agency (EMA), and Health Canada.

View original imageDaewoong Pharmaceutical expanded its presence in the global market following FDA approval in the U.S. in 2019. From 2019 to 2025, the compound annual growth rate of sales reached 57%, and last year, annual sales for the product alone exceeded 200 billion won.
The company currently has partnerships in about 80 countries and has secured product approvals in 69 countries. In the U.S., the product is distributed through its partner Evolus, and Daewoong is further expanding its market presence in Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) regions.
To meet growing global demand, Daewoong Pharmaceutical is constructing a new dedicated botulinum toxin plant, aiming for completion in 2027. Once the new plant is completed, the company's annual production capacity will increase from 5 million vials to a total of 16 million vials.
The company also plans to expand its business portfolio in the medical aesthetics sector by focusing on Nabota and branching out into skin boosters, fillers, cosmetics, and next-generation recombinant toxins.
