He said, "I welcome the decision to hold a public debate with the intention of directly listening to the voices of the people regarding real estate issues," and added, "It is fortunate that an opportunity for discussion has been created, even at this stage."
However, he pointed out, "Looking at the discussion topics President Lee presented as examples on social media, there are concerns that the debate may once again become focused on the question of 'who should bear more taxes.'"
Mayor Oh emphasized, "The debate must give the greatest weight to the real-life difficulties people are experiencing firsthand," and said, "The very first question raised at the debate should be, 'How can we alleviate the suffering of the people?'" He went on to argue that three topics—▲ effective measures for rapid supply, ▲ ways to revitalize redevelopment projects, and ▲ plans to normalize the rental market—must be discussed at the debate.

He added, "I sincerely hope that this debate will fully reflect the pressing voices of the people and serve as a starting point for creating practical solutions that the public can truly feel in their daily lives."
